Visitor Visa

Two most common types in this program are visitor visa (tourist) and parents/grandparents supervisa.

Visitor visa can be issued up to 10 years and allow multiple entries during the authorized period. Each stay cannot exceed 6 months unless authorized and/or extended.

The Canadian immigrants allow Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their foreign parents and grandparents for a supervisa. A supervisa is a temporary resident permit that lets the parents or grandparents take residence in Canada for up to a two-year period.

The validity of the supervisa extends up to 10 years. The sponsor must provide signed letters to prove their ability of financial support for the visit periods and detail the dependents in the household. The supervisa requires documentation proving the sponsor’s Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status.

The key legal requirements for visitor visas include ties to home countries, financial stability to support their stay in Canada, medically and criminally admissible to Canada, and reasonal travel plan. The most importance is for the applicants to prove that they will not overstay their authorized period in Canada.

In the case of supervisa application, the applicants also have to provide the letter of invite from the Canadian citizen and permanent resident outlining their financial responsibility during your stay in Canada. Moreover, applicants have to provide proofs of paid medical insurance for at least $100,000 converage that is valid for at least 1 year.
